The following is a Re-Hash of this event:

Boise Larrikins H3 Run #1 Inaugural/Virgin/ Founding Hash

Which occurred on:  Saturday March 22, 2008

Start & On-In:  Quarry View Park, off Penitentiary Road

Hares:  Witch's Tit, DWI, & Wetback Mount Him

Hounds:  35 including one virgin, and 3 out-of-town visitors:  Spain in the Ass & Cock Block from the Portland Humpin' HHH, and Rectal Rooter from the Oregon H3.

The tale:

At about 2:69 we tapped the keg and started collectin' Hash Cash.  After a bit of Pre-Lubing we circled up for the Welcome, Introductions & Chalk-Talk.  The Hares chose to lay a Live Trail, so we sent them on their way and returned to Pre-Lubing.  Soon we re-circled for a song, "Today is ... Saturday!, Saturday's a Hashin' Day, Is Everybody Happy?, Ya Bet Your Ass We Are! ..." , and then the Hounds we're off, "ON-ON!"

The Hare's trail took us past the Old Penitentiary and UP into the foothills towards Table Rock via bits-and-pieces of the Old Pen, Table Rock, & Table Rock Loop trails   The big circle of the Rock Garden Trail allowed some spirited short-cutting and led to a Turkey/Eagle split.  The Eagles enjoyed going DOWN the steep winding section of the Rock Island trail, while the Turkeys and SCBs took the more direct Table Rock Loop down to the Tram Trail.  Here they rejoined the Eagles who had just caught the Hares.  From the Tram, deer trails wound through the sagebrush up to Beer Stop 1 at a house on Warm Springs Mesa.   Due to the excellent turnout, the beer ran out before the last half-dozen or so hashers arrived, but disappointment was averted when the homeowners made up the shortfall.

Leaving Beer Stop 1 we crossed Wind Dancer Drive, Boulder Park, and Windsong Drive (these two road crossings we're the ONLY pavement all day!) and rejoined the Table Rock Loop trail going UP along Table Rock's east flank to a saddle where there was another Turkey/Eagle split.  This Eagle Trail led to a YBF atop an adjacent peak, so everyone ended up on the Turkey Trail that continued UP to the top of Table Rock.  A jaunt across the sagebrush to the south face found the third Turkey/Eagle split.  I'm not sure where this Eagle trail went, but the Turkey took us west along the south edge of Table Rock, up to near the cross, and back east to Beer Stop 2 on the north edge.  Witch's Tit was the lovely hostess for this stop which had plenty of beer for all.

Leaving Beer Stop 2 we went over Table Rock's north edge on a jeep trail which continued steeply DOWN into a ravine where we soon came upon Beer Stop 3, cheerily hosted by Wetback Mount Him on the sunny slope in a ravine northwest of Table Rock.  This stop also had MANY Jello shots in plastic Easter eggs and plenty of beer for all.  A number of the FRB's hung out here to rejoin the last dozen of us that comprised the back of the pack, and help carry out all the trash.

Leaving Beer Stop 3 we continued down the ravine before crossing the sagebrush to the Table Rock Trail and On-In to Quarry View Park.  The keg and some light snacks had been brought out into the grassy area north of the pavilion, and we circled up for Ceremonies about 6:30.  All in attendance were honored with a Down-Down ... or two.  After Announcements (BLH3's next hash, Run #2, will be April 5 after the FRB's have warmed-up with the Dry Creek 1/2 M*thon), we closed the circle at dusk with a couple of group songs including, in honor of Easter, "Jesus Saves".  The keg soon ran out and we called an end to the very first BLH3 hash and headed (who said "Head"?) to Lucky 13 for an On-On-On-After of pizza ... and well ...you know :)

On-On,
Too Drunk
